Eklavya
Enabling Knowledge and Learning Access Virtually for Young Aspirants
The Eklavya Platform - An Overview
Eklavya stands out as more than just another online learning platform. It is a comprehensive ecosystem that provides a wealth of features and pedagogical tools to facilitate an end-to-end learning workflow. Unlike traditional learning platforms that focus solely on delivering content, Eklavya's approach is centred around creating a seamless and immersive learning experience that engages and empowers learners at every step of their educational journey.
Self Learning Applications
Self-learning applications such as KeyLearn and KeyPlay help the aspirants learn at their own pace. The tools combined with metrics and AI/ML track and recommend the relevant next steps based on learners' performances and goals.
Authoring, Curating and Reporting tools
Authoring, Curating and Reporting tools such as OnKey help teachers, parents and volunteer coaches monitor the progress of their wards. New courses, quizzes, and assignments can be authored using our learning tool or new content could be onboarded or targeted with the curation tools.
Designed for offline first
The Eklavya platform can be deployed in online, hybrid or completely offline mode. The entire ecosystem is fully functional in offline mode. The apps and devices are completely usable even when they are are disconnected from the Eklavaya platform. Content can be continuously refreshed over internet or sneakernet.
Runs on anything
The platform and the applications are designed to be lightweight and hardware agnostic so that they could be supported on any hardware.
How does Eklavya work?
Eklavya's mission is to provide quality education to all, regardless of their location or connectivity status. To achieve this, we have developed a range of innovative tools and features that allow us to deliver learning content to both connected and disconnected facilities and children. We have built various elements to enable us to do this.
DRON
Digital Repository for Offline Network Access
DRON, meaning “a vessel,” is a managed, low-cost media server that stores digital content such as media and course content. Acting as a content server for the tablet application, it can come pre-loaded with content or acquire content in online or offline mode.
KeyTab
KeyTab, call it Qitab, which means a book
The tablet can access DRON over an offline local network to retrieve learning content as well as allow offline viewing of the content.
SETU
Sneakernet/Ethernet Transport Utility
SETU supports transporting or fetching content and updates over the Internet or Sneakernet (using Flash disks).
